ALfjwoi;fjrsl;kjefw! *points left* Incoherence! That's what you've done to me!

I don't even know where to begin with this (although the beginning seams like the likeliest point). I adore that we might get to see Ariadne, she's a wonderful character and I'm curious if she knows about Arthur and Eames being in a relationship and just what preconceptions she might come onto the scene with.

I'm also still utterly in love with Eames' brain. How he found out what piece the mark would likely go for next I have no idea, but I have no doubt that he did! Thank you, thank you for mentioning that Eames pretty much plans the entire heist portion of the job, but thank you also for mentioning that it's more in his field than Arthur's. Neither of them possess in abundance the specialized skill set that the other does in order to be the best at their job, and that's okay. That's why they work so beautifully together! They don't have to individually be the best at everything because they can cover the other's weak points, their blind spots, it's what makes them such great partners.

Eames dreams...worry me. I'm not entirely sure what they mean, but I do know that conversations such as that speak to some unresolved issues from the past and dangers in the future. I'm not worried about the personification of the painting itself, it seems a very Eames-like thing to do, hell who hasn't? But her disappointment and longing, her hurt and his mother's smile...just doesn't sound like it can end happily. At least not without him facing up to some things.

D'awww, sleepy sexy times. Even though Eames' heart wasn't really in it. I love him pulling Arthur onto his body, as a comfort to both of them, because Arthur's weight settles his brain. As someone who's brain never shuts the hell up, I'd very much like an Arthur!blanket with the ability to turn off higher brain functions. For one thing it might stop me worrying about how Eames and Arthur are going to make it in the long run. Right now Eames doesn't mind helping Arthur out, but how long before it becomes tedious? A chore? Something forced on him by someone he once loved? And how long before Arthur becomes resentful that his boyfriend doesn't even want to touch his body? I want desperately to believe they can make it work, but they really need to communicate.

In a strange way, I think one of the things I love most about this fic is that you can't just write the characters falling into bed together as a way to bypass "the talk" or as a way to "show their love" instead of making them talk about it, because in this situation sex is only one more hurdle instead of something they can agree is fantastic (like they do in almost all other fic, don't mistake me, I LOVE other fic for that too, but this is a wonderful switch from the norm).
