i wonder about stereotypes. like how ageism impacts stereotypes - if you're older, does that mean you're likelier to be seen as upstairs bc you're more frail and can't handle downstairs? or as downstairs, bc you're perceived as less presentable? maybe older subs are all pushed into the stairwell. or the attic.
